Fear… I have been thinking allot about this lately and how it can take hold of us and prevent us from succeeding. Life is full of opportunities if we can just control our fearful thinking and not let it control us.
We all have the ability to do great things in the world if we just have the confidence to control our fears.
The best way I have been able to deal with fear is to take little steps out of my comfort zone. Like this blog, I have been a terrible writer even since I was little but I’m getting better at posting even if it does take me a few hours per post. Every time I post I get a little better at controlling my fears of public writing.
All I’m saying is that we all shouldn’t be afraid to take chances because with smart risk comes great rewards.
It’s unbelievable to me what positive thinking can do, if you simply say to yourself that you can do something then you can. I often find myself doing that when I’m in a fearful situation just repeating over to myself that I can do it and that God won’t allow me to fail.

wow! this is so, so true!

first off, I think it's so awesome that you're trusting God to take care of you and listening to Him when he tells you to take that next leap. We've found ourselves in this same situation sooo many times...and you're so right, you just have to go for it! And, we never cease to be amazed at what happenes when we do! I think fear is one of the most destructive of human emotions because it always holds us back from what we're meant to do. But I know that's not going to happen to you because your faith is right and your heart is right. You're such a good person and you're out there making it happen everyday! How awesome is it that you're facing your fears every.single.day with this blog?! Way to go you...we laugh in the face of fear! :)

Can't wait to see more Philly photos. I totally agree with this posting that you just have to go for it. I told Jeff over dinner the other night that he better be ready for me to have multiple freak outs in the next month or two. Deep down I know that what's meant to happen will happen but it's hard to trust yourself sometimes. My favorite quote in the world is "leap and the net will appear." And I agree with Mary - laugh in the face of fear and keep going. You rock!!

Have you ever read this book - The Power Of Intention?
http://www.amazon.com/Power-Intention-Wayne-W-Dyer/dp/1401902162/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/103-0528783-8074234?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1177877852&sr=8-2

Despite it being possibly dismissed as New Age Hocus Pocus, it made a big difference for me when I read it a couple of years ago, and essentially is all about what you just wrote about!

PS- I forgot to mention that I always felt you wrote VERY well. It's funny how we frequently think we're doing poorly at things others think we're great at.

I hear you dude! I think that if you never really think that you can't do something then it just doesn't enter your mind that you can't! Did you catch that? Isn't it great to have people around who understand what you are going thru- we can all figure it all out together.
